The Manufacturer
Joraver Alloys Pvt. Ltd., started in 1960, is engaged not only in manufacturing Superior and Economical Non-Ferrous Anti-friction Bush & Bush Bearings alloys and their components but is also engaged in the manufacture of various Non-Ferrous alloys and their components. Located at the periphery of Baroda, the Industrial Capital of Gujarat;
Joraver Alloys is situated on a developed environment friendly, lush green, tree lined estate, measuring 10 Lac sq. ft. The working environment is both healthy and invigorating. Spacious sheds, totaling over 18,000 sq. ft. of floor area have been allocated to the development and production activities, that include a modern foundry and a well equipped machine shop with all modern testing and measuring equipments and facilities.

Growth of Bushes and Bush Bearings

The 18th Century Industrial Revolution saw a remarkable progress in Bearing Technology not only in the theoretical aspects but in practical aspects also. A lot of Research & Development has been done in this area ever since.
The 19th Century saw the invention of Babbit Metal Alloy by Issac Babbit in United Kingdom, while a sintered, oil containing Bearing was invented in The United States.
Coming to the 20th century, progress in the plain Bearing field has continuously been made including practical use of composite materials and solid lubricants. More new materials are expected to be developed in this century.
In 1968, special Zinc based Bush and Bush Bearing alloy was developed by Joraver Alloys and thus ULTRA BRONZE was born. This metal alloy has better Physical and Mechanical properties than all conventional bronzes, and since then has revolutionized the Bush and Bush Bearing industry not only in terms of technical superiority but also an economical replacement.

In 1992 Joraver Alloys added it’s first page to OilLess history, by further developing Ultra Bronze to combine with Graphite now better known as Grade#786. The combination results out of impregnating graphite into the micro porous structure of Ultra bronze after Casting. These special Ultra Bronze Graphite Impregnated Bearings have 2% Graphite and work best in applications where the working temperatures are normal.
Since then Joraver Alloys have been making constant progress in developing the OilLess series of Bushes and Bush Bearings in various base alloys for the Industry.

After being approached by Fuller India Ltd, (A Member of the F.L.Smidth-Fuller Engineering Group, USA.) seeking a solution for import substitution, Joraver Alloys successfully combined Ultra Bronze with graphite inserts, which was a unique development in it’s own accord.

1997-1998 saw the 100% indigenous development of special Bushes and Bush Bearings wherein a combination of a special Copper based alloy, having good hardness and solid lubricants was used, Grade # JA 500. These special Bushes and Bush Bearings were developed for M/S TELCO. Ltd, Pune India for their special machineries, developed by their Growth Shop again in the line of Import Substitution.
OilLess Bearings are self-lubricating Bearings prepared for heavy load application under Low/High speed operating conditions. According to the application in industrial field, wide range of OilLess Bearings are being manufactured by Joraver Alloys, ranging from 100 grams single piece weight to 1 metric tonne single piece weight and diameters up to 1000mm.
Joraver Alloys have for many years been well known in the market for outstanding quality and performance of their bushes. The reports from various clients, proudly provide testimony to this fact.
